In a significant advancement for local infrastructure, MLA Ashish Butail revealed plans to allocate ₹1.14 crore for the construction of a new Panchayat Bhavan in Badher Gram Panchayat, with the tendering process nearing its conclusion.
This announcement was made during a public event where Butail inaugurated a newly constructed community hall in Harijan Basti, built at a cost of ₹4 lakh. This facility aims to serve the Shri Sai Mahila Mandal and local residents by providing a dedicated venue for meetings and events.
Butail also provided updates on several ongoing development projects, including:
- Patti–Badher–Gorath Road: A ₹9 crore road project under the NABARD scheme is progressing swiftly, enhancing connectivity for Gorath and nearby areas.
- Veterinary Dispensary: A ₹25 lakh facility is being constructed to offer accessible veterinary services to livestock owners.
- Basic Amenities: Continuous efforts are being made to ensure that every household in the constituency has access to essential services such as roads, electricity, and drinking water.
In response to community requests, Butail committed to phased funding for a retaining wall, a meeting hall, and the Ravidas Temple within the community hall area.
Later, the MLA distributed housing sanction letters to 76 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 at the Palampur Municipal Corporation. Each beneficiary will receive ₹2.5 lakh in four installments to build pucca houses.
Butail emphasized, “Every family aspires to have a permanent home where they can live with dignity and safety. This scheme is a step toward making that aspiration a reality,” encouraging beneficiaries to start construction promptly and follow the scheme’s guidelines.
The event saw the participation of Palampur Mayor Gopal Nag, Deputy Mayor Raj Kumar, Municipal Councillors, Additional Commissioner Vikas Sharma, Badher Panchayat Pradhan Balwant Singh, Vice-Pradhan Anuwar Sharma, and officials from various departments including Public Works, Jal Shakti, and Agriculture. Members of the Shri Sai Mahila Mandal, led by President Meera Devi, were also present.
